I'm not sure how much she's told you about herself, but that... kind of tracks with her... job. Back home.

I haven't pushed. I like to give people the chance to tell their story on their own terms. But I know she's not human. That's not difficult to suss out.

To tell you the truth, you probably knew that before I did. I only just found out like two months ago.

I mean, maybe some part of me suspected, but I didn't KNOW know until she came to me after she died.

It shouldn't matter, but sometimes humans care about that sort of thing.

Sometimes humans care about a lot of things that shouldn't matter. They can be racist, sexist, xenophobic assholes. Thankfully, I'm not most people. I'm also not sure I'm completely normal myself, so it's not like I have any room to judge.

She's Sabine. That's all I care about. I'm sure you can probably relate.

HA, yes, but I've never known him as human.

Sabine and I have talked about going to the Singularity in person. It's possible during the Dimming, it's coming up in a few weeks. She might have a chance to really engage with it there.

Is it dangerous?

I went last year with Stephen, Yennefer, Rhy, and Kell, and we were all fine, so as far as I know, no.

Who else is going with you guys?

[magicalarchaeologist]

I think I was going to ask Kyle, he is well-trusted around here now. Ambrose wouldn't allow just anyone to go with us. I need assistance because I plan to bring back soil samples this time.

Rhy also has a special relationship with the Singularity and his experience was comfortable, from what he told us at the time. It seemed to recognize him.

( Okay, that's... good, actually. That's comforting. He trusts Kyle implicitly, and he likes Rhy. If Lucifer were going he might have more concerns about it, but this group seems... pretty safe. )

You'll look out for her, right?

I will. I doubt she needs my protection, but I'll offer it anyway.

Speaking of common ground, I feel like I should warn you in advance: don't let him trick you into eating pineapple pizza. Also, I'm sorry if he tries to incite a faction war with smutty Winifred/Ellya fanfic.

I don't think I understood any of that outside of pizza and incite a faction war. Please tell me you're joking.

You know, I've only loved two people in my life, but they are both the most exhausting people to ever exist.

Maybe you should do some soul-searching about your relationship decisions. My terrible dead therapist recommended journaling about it, it's kind of helpful?

Oh I've done plenty of soul-searching, it just won't help. I've been in love with Yennefer for sixty some years now, most of that apart.
