It could've been mildly useful to know about him sooner, but it isn't like he's chatty, and I suppose protect your sources. [Maybe save one of those 'handful' left the harassment of being from so early, but look at Yennefer. Yennefer just glares a lot and keeps people from hounding her.

I might have mentioned him in passing when talking about monoliths, and we've spoken a few times since getting here, I was sharing with him the information I had.

He also doesn't fault Istredd for it. Lucifer is tight-lipped about it because Lucifer is tight-lipped about literally everything.
Despite what could be condescending words, they aren't carrying the tone.
He just. Sighs.] Look, I know you despise it--I do too--but we can't do anything without Thorne's blessings. In this case, without the other factions' blessings. You gotta suck it up, buttercup.
[The ample sarcasm is very much settle and/or go to sleep because we can't change the scenario but maybe in another day's time that could change. (It's the same vibe as wishing real hard about learning how to read the books in the Feywild's, but hey. Maybe one day he'll be right!!)]

Istredd is still frustrated and deeply annoyed, conflict can hover over him for quite some time to come. He doesn't get over things fast although he does eventually. It's not entirely about Nero, somewhat to do with the public fight aspect.
And it's really about overall frustrations. Their lack of answers. The kidnapping that they haven't entirely outrun. If it can give any measure of peace to go there, it'll be worth it.
He leans back from Lucifer to settle comfortably on his lap and puts out his hands for the damn cradle game that seems to make him happy.]
