That's probably for the best, he's difficult even in the best of times. But one would think that is the right time for a last resort chat.

Sidwell's a smart man, he has no reason to want a Summoned riot when we've otherwise been a peaceful group here.

I do think he's symbolically warning us, but going any further would only backfire. It's wiser to try and make allies instead.

Do you plan on going that path again? I assume being back in your human form would be a difficult adjustment.

No. The technology I used to enact such augmentation would be too dangerous in the hands of the Free Cities. I don't have the power I did in the imagined future--I would not be able to hide it from them.

It is likely that is the road we will eventually go down, we will get those powers again. The "New Gods" were like us once, thousands of years ago.

Now that we know what may be coming, I have a chance to stop it.

I've been researching trying to find a way to anchor people who want to stay to the Singularity, to this sphere. It's possible finding it could also have an answer for a counterspell.

Yes, theoretically it should work both ways. Those who want to stay, can, and those who don't can leave.
