"A demon?" Istredd is definitely going to need a few seconds to catch up. "How would he become a demon here?" Truly a question that is more prevalent in his mind than anything involving his own safety. Demons can possess intelligent species in his sphere, so it's not that he's never heard of it, it's more that it happened here in Abraxas. He also knows Lucifer created demons within his realm so he would be the only person to truly understand how it could, if anyone does.
Istredd's gratitude is felt when he says he warned Castiel, because months ago Lucifer probably wouldn't have bothered. Istredd's worry for his friend won't go away at that though, this is going to be very bad for him. His mind is racing, also thinking about Geralt, who must already know, Castiel would have told him. If Dean is threatening people, it won't stop here.
