Istredd isn't doing well in real life so he is avoiding other people by practically living in his library currently. He is a firm believer these days in feeling his feelings until they're moved past, but it means he has a miserable time until then. He generally prefers meeting in the Horizon regardless when it comes to some topics, because he doesn't trust Thorne not to be listening to them at all times. Paranoid, maybe, but he has his reasons. He does have a powerful sound spell that usually keeps things private, but that could raise red flags too. It's safer in here.
The leosylphs look up when a new person enters and the black and red one (Reficul) goes right up to him. Tiny as can be, he sits on Gale's foot and decides to stay there, difficult to knock off unless he intentionally does so. It'll stay when he walks, perfectly balanced. The ravens all look at him with one twist of their heads, but say nothing. His creatures do seem to have a mind of their own, as he doesn't tell any of them what to do.
"You're still doing better than me by saying hello." Istredd smiles wryly at him, but he also is a quiet individual. He isn't prone to chatter or filling in silence, although he talks enthusiastically when there is something to talk about. He does seem muted though. "I should have said it first." He did invite him here after all.
