No. The technology I used to enact such augmentation would be too dangerous in the hands of the Free Cities. I don't have the power I did in the imagined future--I would not be able to hide it from them.
Now that we know what may be coming, I have a chance to stop it.
By discovering the nature of our connection to the Singularity, and using it to leave this world.
The daunting nature of the task is no excuse not to try.
Home, maybe. Some version of it. Perhaps somewhere else. The possibilities would be limitless.

It doesn't speak to me. But I haven't exactly reached out to it, either.
I admit I have always approached magic from a technological angle, having no inherent ability of my own. Thorne obviously did not devise the Summoning ritual with the connection to the Singularity that we have. I believe it can be done—and I do not trust the Singularity not to interfere, in its own way, should I reach out to it.
Technology alone, no. But technology and magic working together…can accomplish so much more.
